Chapter 1
Two Toddlers. One Very Loud Morning
Mercury (age 4) and Zeus (age 3) were…
not quiet.
They did everything loudly:
They laughed loudly.
They cried loudly.
They ran loudly.
They ate cereal loudly.
They existed loudly.
This morning, they were bouncing on the couch while Hanna attempted breakfast, Akar attempted engineering, and DJ attempted survival.
“Mercury, please stop bouncing the couch!” Hanna yelled.
Mercury grinned. “WHY??”
“Because your brother—”Before she finished, Zeus flew OFF the couch and into Akar’s lap.
“BRO—!” Akar yelled, catching him just in time.
Zeus giggled uncontrollably.
Mercury clapped. “AGAIN!!”
Hanna muttered, “I’m retiring.”
Aniya pinched the bridge of her nose. “They’re using kinetic energy irresponsibly.”
CRYS appeared behind them, glowing softly. “Perhaps,” she said gently, “their energy simply needs a world built for it.”
Mercury gasped. “WORLD??”
Zeus gasped too. “WOOOORLD!!”
CRYS raised a hand.
A shimmering doorway opened, filled with warm gold light.
“Mercury. Zeus,” CRYS said softly, “this lesson is for you.”
Hanna panicked. “Wait—are they going ALONE?!”
“It is a toddler realm,” CRYS assured. “They will be safe.”
DJ squinted. “Define ‘safe’.”
But Mercury and Zeus were already toddling through the portal, hand-in-hand, squealing with excitement.
Chapter 2
The World of Big Feelings
They landed in a soft meadow made of glowing golden grass.
The sky was pastel pink.
Tiny sparkles drifted through the air like dust made from giggles.
Everything felt warm.
Soft.
Gentle.
A sign floated in the air:
WELCOME TO THE LAND OF BIG FEELINGS
Where laughter makes you grow
and crying makes you shrink
Mercury gasped.
“ZEUS! WE CAN GROW BIG!!”
Zeus clapped. “BIG!!”
He tried it immediately.
He stood tall, threw his arms open…
…and laughed.
A deep belly-laugh, childish and unrestrained.
BOOM—!!
Zeus grew three whole feet taller.
Mercury screamed with delight.
“My turn!!”
He laughed even louder.
BOOM—!!
Mercury shot up like a tree.
In seconds, both toddlers were…
Giants...
Giggle Giants.
They stomped through the meadow shouting:
“LOOK AT MEEEE!! I’M TALL!!”
“I’M TALL TOO!!”
Their footsteps shook small hills.
Their joy shook the clouds.
But then—
Mercury tripped over a floating bubble.
He fell.
Hard.
“Owieeee…”
His lip trembled.
And then—
Mercury cried.
And instantly—
he shrank back to normal size, small and confused.
Zeus panicked.
“No cry!! No cry!!”
He knelt beside him, giant hands trembling.
But Zeus became overwhelmed.
His eyes welled up too.
He cried.
And shrank.
Both boys now sat small and tearful in a giant meadow.
CRYS’ voice echoed gently:
“Big feelings make big changes.
But the strongest hearts know what to do with them.”
Two toddler heads lifted.
“What do?” Mercury sniffed.
CRYS appeared, kneeling at their level.
“First,” she said, “you must learn what your feelings are saying.
Then… you choose how to respond.”
More...
Mercury rubbed his eyes.
"Feelings... talk?"
CRYS nodded.
"All feelings speak.
Even sadness. Especially sadness."
Zeus whispered, "Sad says... need help."
Mercury whispered, "Maybe sad says... need hug."
CRYS smiled.
"Then give each other what your feelings ask for."
The two boys crawled into each
other's arms. They hugged. Softly. Slowly...
Their bodies glowed.
They grew- but only a little.
Not giant.
Not out of control.
Just enough.
CRYS beamed.
"Now," she said, "try laughter again.
Gently this time."
They tried.
Their giggles were small.
Warm.
Honest.
Their bodies grew again- but slower.
Softer.
More controlled.
They were learning.
CRYS nodded.
"You see?
You are strongest when you feel everything... without letting the feelings run away from you."
Mercury touched his chest.
"Feelings... strong."
Zeus nodded.
"We strong too."
Together they stood, now medium-sized Giants, balanced and steady.
They walked hand-in-hand through the meadow, not stomping but stepping carefully.
CRYS whispered:
"Strength is gentle.
Gentleness is strong."
Chapter 3
The Return
They stepped through the portal
And EVERYTHING in the house froze.
Hanna's eyes bulged.
DJ screamed, "THEY'RE BIG NOW??"
Akar whispered, "This is how the world ends."
Aniya fainted just a little bit.
Mercury puffed his chest.
"WE LEARN FEELINGS!"
Zeus added proudly, "FEELINGS MAKE US BIG!"
CRYS materialized beside them. "Both boys learned the truth today:
Their emotions have power. But they have even more power
over their emotions."
Hanna hugged them tightly, careful not to trigger a growth spurt.
Aniya whispered, "I love them... but this is terrifying."
Lulanee smiled softly. "Their hearts are bigger now.
That matters more."
